Reading Town Hall - Intricate Decorating Works

New Cafe featuring original Police Station doors

In 2019, the SC4 Decorators team completed the challenging interior decoration and extensive refurbishment of Reading Town Hall for our client, Mears Group.

The transformation work, which started in April 2018, has included the painting and decoration of a number of public spaces in this Grade II listed building including:

New town hall reception and museum shop
The Pantry Café and Kitchen including redecoration of the doors from Reading's original Police Station
The Ceremony Room (for marriages, civil partnerships and naming ceremonies) in its stunning new location in the former box room gallery of the museum.
The Coroner’s Court, now based in the Victorian gallery.

Decorating at Lance Way, High Wycombe

In 2017, SC4 Decorators carried out the painting and decorating works for 20 houses for principal contractor Hill Partnerships at Lance Way, High Wycombe.

In 2015, SC4 Decorators was Commended in the Painting and Decorating Association's (PDA) Premier Trophy Awards for their works at Oakley Hall Hotel, Nr Basingstoke, Hampshire.

Decorating at Oakley Hall Hotel Commended

In 2015, SC4 Decorators was Commended in the Painting and Decorating Association's (PDA) Premier Trophy Awards for their works at Oakley Hall Hotel, Nr Basingstoke, Hampshire.

This country hotel needed internal and external restoration and modernisation. The work was done under a subcontract to the main contractor, Cove Construction. Following minor repair the exterior was repainted. Internally, following plaster repair and stain blocking, the areas were brought forward for decoration and paper hanging. The waxing of the staircase was especially noted for its finish. A very tight programme to ensure stated opening times was strictly adhered to. The finished work is in keeping with the expected clientele visiting the hotel.

5 luxury homes in Oakley, Basingstoke

In 2019, SC4 Decorators painted these five 2-bed, 3-bed and 4-bed luxury homes in Oakley for Arcadia Construction.
