David initially joined SC4 as a highly skilled carpenter, dedicating several years to mastering the trade on site. This hands-on experience provided him with a crucial, ground-level understanding of construction quality, scheduling, and problem-solving—knowledge that is invaluable in his current management role.
In 2020, David successfully transitioned into a management role when he was appointed Assistant Contract Manager. In this position, he played a key part in supporting the operational execution of SC4's projects, quickly developing his skills in contracts administration, site coordination, and client communication.

Following his successful tenure as Assistant Contract Manager, David's dedication and proven ability to manage complex operations were recognised with his promotion to Contracts Operations Manager in 2024.
In his current role, David is responsible for:
- Overseeing the operational delivery of numerous carpentry and timber frame contracts.
- Managing site teams and subcontractors, ensuring projects are completed to SC4's high standards of quality and within agreed timelines.
- Optimising contracts processes to ensure efficiency and profitability across the company’s portfolio.
- Bridging the gap between site realities and strategic contract planning, using his background to anticipate and mitigate potential challenges.

SC4 has worked with us on Hop Field Place, Phase 3, Alton for the last 3 years from 2019-August 2022.
Throughout the project, SC4 showed great craftsmanship and constant attention to health and safety on site.
SC4 have taken the time to learn Redrow’s standard details and implement them into their works on site.
