The timber frame structures, manufactured with design input from SC4 Carpenters Ltd, had an innovative design allowing for mechanical and electrical (M&E) services to be installed quickly and easily without the need for drilling through the trimmer in stair well and floor joist void.

SC4’s expertise and experience combined with its highly qualified workforce contributed to a more efficient installation. Floor zones were constructed on the footprint ensuring site safety and build quality.

Innovative timber frame construction in Hampshire

To celebrate our 21st birthday SC4 Carpenters Ltd, in 2021 at we looked back at some of our early projects. In 2006, SC4 started its first major timber frame project, providing the timber frame installation and carpentry services for construction of 17 new homes in Southampton. We followed this up in 2007 working on an innovative project in Basingstoke, and a carpentry, decorating and timber frame project in Frimley Green, Surrey for the same clients.

In 2021, SC4 Carpenters Ltd revisited some of its earlier projects as part of its 21st Birthday celebrations. This project of 28 houses in Frimley in early 2008 was the first time we had provided all three of our services - carpentry, decorating and timber frame installation - on the same project. The benefits of this combined approach really came together resulting in an efficient build and a high quality finish.

In 2017, SC4 Carpenters Ltd carried out carpentry works in New Build Housing on more than 180 units at various sites for Foreman Homes in and around Andover, Hampshire.
