SC4 named Cala Contractor of the Month, October 2025
At SC4, we pride ourselves on creating fantastic relationships with our clients through high quality carpentry and timber frame installation services combined with a collaborative approach. So we really appreciate receiving Cala's Contractor of the Month Award in October 2025 for timber frame installation at their site in Winchester.
When posting the Award announcement on LinkedIn, Cala's Construction Senior Site Manager, Andy Mair, said
"Change isn’t always easy - and Cala's transition from traditional build to Timber Frame over the past year has not been without its challenges, given the technical complexities of the house types on the site at Winchester. Lots of shared frustrations, lots of set backs - but a lot of learning.
The team from SC4 Carpenters Ltd and Taylor Lane Timber Frame Limited have been instrumental in assisting us get our homes over to their new owners on time, safely and to a fantastic level of finish.

SC4 commenced the installation of the timber frame, flooring and floor cassettes, balconies and non-load-bearing walls for this development of 120 bespoke new homes on the Cala Homes, Kings Barton Phase 3 development in Winchester, Hampshire in December 2024. Works are expected to be completed in late 2026.
The timberframe is manufactured to a high standard by Taylor Lane Timber Frame.
