Botleigh Grange Care Home - Hedge End

In January 2020, SC4 Carpenters was awarded the contract for all Carpentry works for this high-end 68-bed care home in Hedge End, Hampshire, completing the project in 14 months.

Highwood was the principal contractor for this new-build scheme at Pavilion Road on the vast Botleigh Grange site in the Hampshire village of Hedge End. The project delivered a high-end 68-bed care home to provide an array of specialist care for the elderly, designed by W R Dunn architects and developed by Frontier Estates.
The two-storey care home incorporated a brick and timber-clad façade with large terraces on the first floor and two accommodation wings either side. The home has been designed to provide accommodation in excess of current Care Quality Commission (CQC) requirements, offering a multitude of residential day spaces that include café, hairdressers, lounges, dining rooms, private dining and a cinema. The home is also registered to offer residential, nursing and dementia care.
SC4 undertook all timber aspects of the build project, including:
- external works, including the stunning decking and cladding
- roof, joists and floating floor
- first fix and second fix carpentry such as, skirting and staircases
